The unique ID number must be uploaded in the STB through a special JTAG-port. The TROPHY-ACCESS programmer consists of the Remote mini-server and the JTAG-programmer.
INSTALLATION
STEP 1.
Connect the Remote mini-server to the Router using an Ethernet patch-cord.
STEP 2.
Connect the JTAG-Programmer to the USB-port of the Remote mini-server.
STEP 3.
Connect the USB port of Remote mini-server to the Newland NLS-FR40 scanner.
STEP 4.
Connect the second USB port of Remote mini-server to the +5V power supply.
Connect the Router to power supply too.
STEP 5.
To access the global network you must use a Router that assigns its own unique IP-address to the Remote mini-server connected to the Router.
Check that the DHCP function is enabled on the Router. The assignment of a unique network address is done automatically.
STEP 6.
Press F1 button on the Remote mini-server to receive the IP-address via DHCP. You’ll see the “Ready!” on the screen.
STEP 7.
Connect the programmer to the JTAG connector of the STB.
Connect the Set-Top-Box power supply. No need to wait for the receiver menu to fully load.
STEP 8.
Bring the scanner at a distance of 10-20 cm to the sticker with the QR-code. The “WRITE THE DECODER” message will appear on the screen. Press F1 if you have to program the decoder. The programming process will be displayed on the screen. You will see the “Successfully” text when programming will be done.
STEP 9.
Turn off the power supply of the Set-Top-Box and unplug the Programmer JTAG connector.
Connect the next Set-Top-Box and repeat STEPs 7 and 8 to program the next decoder.
